Utility charges for park homes

How you pay for utilities

If you own a park home there are protections to make sure you’re not overcharged for utilities such as electricity, gas, water and sewerage. You also have rights to see information about how your charges are calculated.

Your site owner is responsible for maintaining the supply of utilities to your park home.

How you pay for utilities varies. Check your pitch agreement to see what the arrangements are for your park home. You might pay your bills either:

  • directly to the utility suppliers
  • to the site owner as a separate charge
  • to the site owner as part of your pitch fee

On most sites, the site owner has a single commercial supply contract with the utility supplier and you pay the site owner for utilities.
