Selling your park home
Overview
You can sell your park home using an estate agent that specialises in park homes or through your park home site’s sales office, if it has one.
You can sell your park home and transfer your written statement (pitch agreement) to any buyer you choose, if the buyer agrees to the site rules.
You do not need the site owner’s permission to sell your park home if you bought your park home after 26 May 2013 in England, or 1 October 2014 in Wales.
If you bought your park home before these dates you need to give a notice of proposed sale form to the site owner. See the section on documents you need to provide.
Park home site owners are entitled to commission of up to 10% of the sale price. The buyer pays this to the site owner after ownership of the park home is transferred.
When setting the price of your park home, remember you will only get 90% of the final figure.
Advice from a professional
We recommend using a solicitor or other professional when selling a park home. They can spot any potential problems and provide peace of mind.
