Understanding your park home pitch agreement
Changing the agreement
Changing the implied terms
You or the site owner cannot change, override or waive the implied terms in the pitch agreement.
They are your legal rights and responsibilities and the law. They apply automatically to protect both residents and site owners.
Changing the site rules
Site owners can change the site rules but they must follow a legal consultation process before making, changing or removing a rule. You and the other park home owners can comment, suggest changes, object and appeal to the tribunal if you disagree with the changes.

Changing the express terms
| Scenario | Can you change the agreement? |
|---|---|
| If you buy from a site owner | You or the site owner can apply to a tribunal to delete or vary an express term within the first 6 months of the original agreement being made. Get advice if you want to change an express term in your pitch agreement. |
| If you buy from another park home owner | You cannot change the terms of the agreement. The existing agreement is transferred ('assigned’) to you. It is not usually amended, and your name will not appear on the pitch agreement. |
| If you inherit a park home | You cannot change the terms of the agreement. The existing agreement is transferred (“assigned”) to you. It is not usually amended, and your name will not appear on the pitch agreement. |
| If the site owner changes | You do not need to sign a new agreement. The terms of the existing pitch agreement stay the same. Get legal advice if you are being asked to sign a new pitch agreement. |
