As a reseller of gas and electricity, a site owner cannot charge you more than what they paid the gas and electricity company including standing charges. This is called the maximum resale price.
If the site owner charges more than the maximum resale price, you can recover the amount overcharged through civil proceedings and they may be required to pay interest on the amount overcharged.
