Date: [date]

Dear [site owner’s name],

I am writing on behalf of [name of residents’ association].

We ask you to recognise, in writing, that the association is a qualifying residents’ association for [name of park home site].

The association meets the following eligibility criteria under the Mobile Homes Act 1983 (England):

  • at least 50% of the eligible park homes on the site are represented in the association
  • the association is independent from the site owner
  • it has a fair and democratic constitution
  • it has elected officers

I have [attached or can make available on request]:

  • evidence that we meet the 50% threshold
  • the current membership list
  • names of the elected officers
  • our constitution

Please send your written acknowledgement to me as [Secretary, Chair, Treasurer] of the association.

Thank you.
